I am so grateful that, on the way home from work, I can catch wild coho salmon and buy #alaskangrown veggies at the farmer's market. Alaska is so abundant in August! Dinner is coming together nicely. *

I love the juicy, sweet flavor of #wildalaskan watermelon berries, but they are not so easy to eat (lots of tiny seeds!) I experimented this year and created a watermelon berry juice perfect for #mocktails on the porch. Slide for the recipe!
Oh my goodness, this was a delicious #alaskan #primal #paleo dinner. Moose meatballs with spiralized zucchini and my easy blender pasta sauce. Almost every ingredient came from Alaska! (Swipe for the simple meatball recipe. Sauce recipe is on my website.)
The blueberry picking and coho salmon fishing weren't as epic as we hoped today, but outdoor time in the upper Susitna Valley is always a gratitude.

There aren't that many places in the world where you can head out on your lunch break and catch a wild salmon for dinner.
Primal in the airport! Normally I prepare snacks for travel, but I didn't have time the other day. Look what I found to eat at the airport! Head over to my website (link in bio) to read more about healthy eating options while traveling. What are your airport healthy eating tips?
Reflecting in Tennessee with @ginnygane- what a fantastic weekend!

I appreciated so much about Bend, Oregon: the gorgeous Farmers Market, abundant opportunities to play on mountains and water, friendly people, a river that runs through town....
The exciting thing is that I realized I have all of these things in my own town! I am so grateful to live in such a special place. ------
What do you appreciate most about where you live? What makes it special?
Smith Rock, just outside of Bend, blew my mind. Seriously, Oregon has it going on. *
